Dr. Shrestha is a dual board-certified physician with specialized training in both primary care and sports medicine, offering comprehensive care for patients of all ages. With a passion for helping individuals stay active and healthy, he brings a unique combination of expertise in musculoskeletal health, preventive care, and chronic disease management.

Dr. Shrestha began his medical journey in 2006 and continued residency training in Orthopedic Surgery, followed by a prestigious Fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of Louisville. His desire to provide more holistic, long-term care to patients led him to pursue further training in Family Medicine at Michigan State University, and a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at Southern Illinois University. This extensive and diverse background allows him to deliver personalized, evidence-based care across a wide spectrum of health needs.

In his practice, Dr. Shrestha blends the latest medical advances with a patient-centered approach. He performs a wide range of in-office procedures for both primary care and sports medicine, including joint injections, ultrasound-guided treatments, minor surgeries, and regenerative therapies. Whether treating a student athlete, weekend warrior, or a senior managing chronic joint pain, Dr. Shrestha provides thoughtful, effective care tailored to each individual.

He is proficient in managing orthopedic issues and primary care issues. He has expertise in diagnostic and interventional ultrasound. He is an expert in concussion management and has been associated with different universities and colleges for team sports coverage.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Shrestha enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, and staying active through various sports.
